Attention – Calling back cans of Murder for a Jar of RedRum


Well, this is embarrassing. This is not the type of thing we’d like to be sharing with you, but it’s the right thing to do. 


We have heard from some awesome individuals who support our fiercely independent brewery that have experienced an unfortunate experience with cans of Murder for a Jar of Red Rum. Upon further inspection, we’ve determined that some of the ingredients used in the production of the flavoured stout have caused re-fermentation to take place, causing distress inside the vessel. This could, and has, led to some cans leaking and/or coming apart at the seal (crown to can).

See, we told you it was embarrassing. 

So, you still have some cans from this very limited release? What should you do with them? It’s a good question and one that we are happy to answer. For starters, please carefully put any remaining cans in the fridge and/or place in a cool area (below room temperature). Please return any and all cans you have to the GLB retail store immediately for a full cash refund or trade them in for different product(s) plus a free GLB glass. If you can’t make it back to the brewery, please connect with us at [email protected] and we’ll get you sorted. If you do choose to keep your cans at home with you, in the fridge, please drink them as soon as possible, responsibility.
