Pompous Ass pours mahogany with a sturdy tan head providing aromas of dried leaf with an earthy touch that leads into into soft citrus notes. Flavour is big on malt sweetness up front, followed by notes of raisin, tea, and subtle caramel, giving way to a very pleasant, earthy, and citrus hop flavour. The soft carbonation produces a sessionable, medium body.

Pompous Ass has all the drinkability of an English Ale, with a North American twist in the hop profile.

Soft cheeses, burgers, grilled chicken, BBQ meats.

Pompous Ass is our version of an English Ale. We created this recipe adhering to the time-honoured English brewing methods, and then flipped tradition the bird by substituting the ingredients with our own contemporary blend of hops and yeast to brighten up the flavour, ensuring that even the most pompous ale drinker, like Sir Fuggled Doublebottom, does a double take.
