Aromas of soft bread crust, honeyed malt, and gentle herbal hops lead into a clean, rounded malt sweetness, that is balanced by a firm but smooth bitterness.
This Dortmunder finishes crisp and dry with just enough body and bitterness to keep it drinkable yet bold; true to its industrial inspiration.
Meant to be slightly more robust and refreshing than a pilsner, but smoother and less malty than a helles, Port Lands pairs beautifully with a wide range of foods without overwhelming them, like Classic pizza to fish & chips to grilled baby back ribs.
Born in the industrial Germany in the mid-1800s, the Dortmunder Export was brewed to fuel hardworking miners and steelworkers in the city of Dortmund.
This lager is a nod to the hard workers who redirected the Don River, built the bridges, and created a new, environmentally sustainable, green space in Toronto’s new Port Lands area. Just like the orange, red, and yellow bridges, this beer celebrates hard work, craftsmanship, and community.
