Great Lakes Brewery is looking for beer-passionate individuals to join our growing retail and events team.
As an events staff of Great Lakes Brewery, you are the face and personality of our brand; striving for customer satisfaction, as well as safety, at all places where Great Lakes beers are sold or sampled. Your positive attitude is the most important factor in ensuring a fun and positive atmosphere for our patrons – that, and too have fun! Craft beer is supposed to be fun.
This is a part-time position and pays $14.00 per hour.
JOB SPECIFICS:
Staff will work both on and offsite representing Great Lakes Brewery within our own retail store, LCBO tastings, and various beer events throughout Ontario. You will serve as a beer-ambassador of Great Lakes Brewery, educating patrons on all things GLB, our history, our beers and our ethos. Potential candidates for the position will need to be available for flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a retail or events setting preferred
• Ability to keep cool in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment
• Smart-Serve certification required
• Clean drivers abstract an asset
• Strong interest in beer and the local beer community is probably a good idea
• 18 years or older
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work in a variety of environments and settings
• Ability to navigate kegs up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time
