Brewery Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)
Great Lakes Brewery (GLB) two-time Canadian Brewery of the Year and Toronto’s oldest independent brewer is hiring again. We are currently looking for another full-time brewery technician who will report to our brewery Operations Manager.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all packaging equipment
• Quickly diagnose source of failures and make emergency repairs to all mechanical, and pneumatic systems as needed
• Assist brewery operations in setting up all equipment, and making running adjustments to ensure maximum efficiency
• Safely use a wide variety of power and hand tools
• Learn and thoroughly understand systems and machinery in assigned area
• Handle a large work load with multiple preventative and repair tasks/projects
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning tools, equipment and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment
• Some construction and building experience preferred

 
Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background with minimum two years’ experience setting up and servicing packaging equipment
• The ability to read and interpret, manuals, blueprints and schematics
• The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Strong trouble shooting skills
• Skilled in welding, soldering, pipefitting and rigging
• Proven, analytical, planning, problem solving and project management skills
• Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing and extremely fast paced environment
