Meet the Retail Store team!

Retail team_April 2016Okay we were a little bit mean to our retail team in that last blog post, so we better be clear about just how much we appreciate all the back-breaking labour we make them do.
GLB’s retail team is a trio of Prud’homme Level 1 certified craft beer rock stars. They keep our fridges full, our loyal fans lubricated and customers educated. You can also find them repping the brand at festivals and craft beer bars across the city, pouring samples, slinging kegs and cleaning lines.
Andrea
Heading up this operation is GLB Retail Store Manager Andrea Winer. Formerly a coffee slinger at The Only Cafe on the Danforth, she fell in with the GLB crowd inevitably. When she jumped ship from coffee to craft beer, she found people a lot more laid back and a lot less jittery.

How Derek (GLB LCBO Sales) describes her in one sentence: “Andrea is a kick-ass master of puppets.”
Tyler
Tyler Tibbits is the relative newby to craft beer of the group. He started out grabbing Canuck and Pumpkin Ale from LCBO shelves out of curiosity and soon realized that, at the time, he was living right near the brewery. Compared to his former factory job, working in the beer industry seemed like a dream come true so he took the plunge.

James
World-weary James Proudfoot comes to GLB from a long way away. Ontario-born, he spent 7 years living abroad, the last two years of which he spent getting his hands on as many beers of the world as he could. After such a long time away, he returned to Toronto to discover that an entire craft beer industry and culture had blown up, and he decided he wanted to be part of it.
