After taking a few weeks off from the Spotlight on GLB Supporters series we’re back with one of the biggest supporters out there!
Robert Arsenault, aka Drunk Polkaroo, is a huge GLB supporter and an amazing craft beer supporter in general. Polk, as we call him here around the brewery, writes a blog, post lots of beer review videos on YouTube, has a very active Facebook page and curates a beautiful Instagram account.
He started his blog, The Adventures of Drunk Polkaroo, back in December of 2015 and to date he just under 100 posts under his belt. The subjects range in topic and are personal glimpses into his views on the Ontario beer scene.
His YouTube channel, which features beer reviews done in all sorts of manners, covers various Ontario craft beers with a hint of seriousness, yet are relaxed and unpretentious. The reviews could take place in his garden, the pool, or his beer-themed basement, and really showcase each particular beer he is featuring.
His social media accounts are very active. The DrunkPolkaroo Instagram is beautiful. Really, beer art. He stages each beer in a different setting as you can see from the examples below. Each photo accompanies a review of the beer and ends with a rating out of five.
